the work of abortion funds is simple at its core: we collect money and distribute it to people who cannot access abortion without it. policy change is important, to be sure, but the daily work of abortion access is here, on the ground, making sure every single person can get to their appointments, pay for the medication they need, and access support to get them through this process. the large, national nonprofits who soak up so much of the funding in the repro space are becoming far too disconnected from this daily struggle. we all suffer because of it. read more of what we and our fellow funds have to say about this in an article we helped write for @nationmag the link in our bio ✏️
